5.Theory
-Organic Synthesis
Organic synthesis is a special branch of chemical synthesis and is related to the construction of organic compounds.
Total synthesis is the complete chemical synthesis. It forms complex organic molecules from simple, commercially available (petrochemical) or natural precursors. In order to synthesize desired molecules in a linear synthesis, there are steps to be performed one after another. The chemical compounds synthesized in each step are usually referred to as synthetic intermediates.
For more complex molecules, the key intermediates of the final product are synthesized independently, then coupled together.
-Purification
Purification is to physically separate chemical substances of interest from foreign or contaminating substances. There are a variety of methods to chemically purify materials.
